History

In February of 2008, Sybervision president and CEO, Steve Devore, finished reading Bobby Clampett and Andy Brumer's new book, "The Impact Zone".  So taken by the simplicity and power of the message, Devore was led to reach out to Clampett and begin exploring the possibility of a new Sybervision Golf Training system.  Devore flew to California to meet Clampett.  After countless meetings, planning sessions and on the driving range sessions (where Devore himself saw his handicap drop from 24 to 12 in 3 months as well as the incredible improvement of others working with him), the two agreed to a plan.  Devore had previouly created the Al Geiberger video in 1981 which sold an industry record 1.3 million copies.  Golf enthusiasts found the Sybervision Golf Muscle Memory Training System to be revolutionary in its technology, helping golfers improve their swing.  Now Devore invisioned a new system, combining improved Sybervision technology with the truths of the Impact Zone Teaching.  "The Impact Zone was the missing link", explained Devore.  "It is the teaching answer all golfers need to reach the holy grail of golf, 'dynamic impact'.  I've seen dramatic results myself and in others."

Devore and Clampett have spent countless hours working together for nearly 2 years to produce what is predicted will set a new standard for improving golfers like nothing that has hit the golfing market before.

     The System will include:

DVD #1: Training System Overview, Impact Zone Introduction, Personal Impact Zone Clinic and Lesson, Impact Zone Drills ad Exercises, Impact Zone Super Slow-Motion of Bobby Clampett.

DVD #2:  Muscle Memory Programming Overview, Muscle Memory Programming:  Driver to Putting, Muscle Memory Activator, A Perfect Round of Golf

Also included in this program is a CD soundtrack of the music associated with the muscle memory programming and swing scape videos—music you can listen to separate from your viewing experience. Simply by listening to this music by itself after it is associated with the visual motion of perfection, you'll be able to reinforce the muscle memory you stimulated and built during your viewing experience.

Another CD in the package contains an in depth interview in which Bobby Clampett explains in detail his Impact Zone discovery and discusses strategies on how you can play winning golf.  Additionally, an electronic personal training and success guide that takes you through the step by step process of how to get the best results using the system is included in this CD.

PROGRAM INTRODUCTION:

Hello, I'm Richard Gebhardt. On behalf of SyberVision I'd like to welcome you to the SyberVision Impact Zone Golf Training System featuring the highly acclaimed SyberVision Muscle Memory Programming technology.

Developed at Stanford University and proven by over 1 million SyberVision golf customers, SyberVision was recently voted by Golf Magazine's staff of 100 Top Training Professionals as one of the best video-based golf training programs ever developed.

The SyberVision technology has been used and endorsed by the U.S. Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs to train the United States track and field team. In an advanced training application, SyberVision was chosen by the U. S Air Force's Strategic Air Command to train B1 bomber flight crews to work in coordination under adverse combat situations.

Here's how SyberVision works. SyberVision first studies the best athletes in the world and identifies the key physical and mental fundamentals that lead to their success. SyberVision then captures those positive fundamentals on film and presents them in a way that imprints, as you watch, those fundamentals – the images of golf success-- deeply and permanently into your mind and body—into your golf muscle memory.

Each viewing of the specially edited SyberVision golf video is the near equivalent of hours of perfect physical practice. This results in an immediate improvement in your game and a dramatic reduction in your scores and handicap.

The key golf swing fundamentals taught in this SyberVision program are based on a profound discovery made by PGA golfer and CBS television golf analyst Bobby Clampett. Clampett, regarded by his peers as one of golf's most knowledgeable swing experts. As detailed in his bestselling book, “The Impact Zone, Golf's Moment of Truth,” Clampett studied and analyzed high speed film of Tiger Woods' swing to learn the “magic” behind Tiger's special playing abilities.

Using CBS Sport's Swing Vision camera –a super high speed/slow motion camera that captures movement at 7,000 individual framers per second, Bobby noticed, for the first time ever, that Tiger 's swing bottomed out four inches in front of the ball after initial impact.

Bobby then studied the swings of other golf greats, Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer, and Jack Nicklaus and observed the same thing. Though they all had different swing “styles” they all hit the ball within the positive 4 inch impact zone

Clampett then compared this insight to high handicap, medium handicap, and low handicap golfers to see if there was a correlation between where they struck the ball and their scoring abilities.

Bobby learned that high handicap golfers swings , those barely able to break 100, bottomed out up to 4 inches in front of the ball—an 8 inch difference from the pro. Every inch deviation from the positive impact zone represents 4 strokes in handicap.

So, if the 100 golfer wants to shoot consistently in the low 80's all he or she would have to do is adjust the swing bottom five inches forward on every swing – and by so doing would, in a short period of time, be shooting consistently in the eighties.

Conversely, if you shoot in the mid eighties and want to be a scratch golfer, you'll simply move your swing bottom forward two to three inches. It's that simple and quite profound.

But, how can you do this?

Bobby identified five simple swing dynamics which, if learned and applied, would allow a golfer to hit consistently in the positive impact zone.

In this SyberVision program, Bobby will introduce, explain and demonstrate these five dynamics to you in a one-one-one personalized video clinic.

He'll then show you simple drills to help you further learn the feel and proper execution of each dynamic.

Then, with this understanding, you'll experience the SyberVision muscle memory programming technology that will allow you to repeatedly see and feel the dynamics, ingrain them into your mind and body and make them a permanent and positive part of your reflexive and habitual golf swing muscle memory.

Finally, this learning experience all comes together, as you watch what we call a dream scape round of perfect golf. Here, you'll see Bobby perfectly demonstrate the five impact zone dynamics as he plays 9 holes of perfect golf all shot in gorgeous high definition wide screen cinematography ensconced in beautifully originally scored music so as you watch, you'll be able to step into Bobby's shoes and vicariously experience what it feels like to shoot a perfect round of golf.

Included on this CD is also an electronic personal training and success guide.

Whatever your current level of golf, if you have trouble breaking 100, 90, 80, or even 70, this SyberVision Impact Zone Golf Training System is guaranteed to quickly and easily help you once and for all achieve your golf performance goals. So, sit back, relax and enjoy on of the most powerfully effect and thoroughly enjoyable golf training experiences you'll ever have.

PERSONALIZED GOLF CLINIC INTRODUCITON
To maximize your your golf potential potential, you must first understand the importance of the Impact Zone and how to consistently hit within the zone. In order to do this you must understand the five Impact Zone Dynamics and the difference between swing dynamics and style. I

In this personalized clinic Bobby Clampett introduces Scott Clark, an average golfer, to the impact zone principle and explains and demonstrates each of the five impact zone dynamics.

To teach these dynamics Bobby starts first with the putt and builds to the full swing. The five Impact Zone Dynamics are:

One: Putting The Flat Left Wrist at Impact.

Two: Chipping The Forward Swing Bottom and the Aiming Point Technique

Three. The Pitch Shot: Loading

Four: The Full Swing: Lag the Load and Body Pivot

and

Five The Full Swig: The Straight Plane Line

Now, let's join Bobby and Scott on the practice range at Bobby's original home course the beautiful Quail Lodge in Carmel, California:

DYNAMIC DRILLS INTRODUCTION
Now that you've been introduced to the impact zone and the five impact zone dynamics, its time to learn how to perform – to get a feel for each of the dynamics – to begin to build positive impact zone muscle memory. To do this, Bobby Clampett has developed five simple drills. Let's now join Bobby as he explains and demonstrates these drills to Scott Clark, our average golfer.

INTRODUCTION TO SYBERVISION MUSCLE MEMROY PROGRAMMING
You've learned how to mechanically execute each of the golf swing's five dynamics. The seeds of these dynamics are now well planted in your mind. Ultimately, though, you need to go beyond “head knowledge” and create a clear mental picture of the dynamic-rich swing.--a rich image of swing success and achievement.

SyberVision's years of research at the Stanford University Neuropsychology Research Laboratories proves that when we see and imagine a physical activity our brain and nervous system react as if we physically performed the motion.

By seeing and then imagining the dynamic-rich golf swing, we stimulate and reinforce positive swing memory we have stored in our mind and body from past positive experience. At the same time,we also create a new reservoir of muscle memory that we can draw upon to guide our body effortlessly through the swing..

The clearer we see the image and the more we imagine it, the more positive muscle memory we build.

How is an image of physical motion transformed into muscle memory? SyberVision discovered at Stanford that as a image of movement comes into our eyes, our brain transforms this image into muscle memory through a mathematical process called the Fourier Transform. This conversion process is very active in children but lessens as we get older.

The SyberVision muscle memory programming video you are about to see helps re-activate this visual learning process by conforming, production-wise, to this mathematical process. The math behind the movement is transparent. What you'll see and experience is perfect golf from, repeated over and over.

You'll not only see the dynamic swing ,but you'll begin to “feel” the swing and understand it intuitively, instinctively. This subtle sense of motion you feel as you watch the SyberVision video is the SyberVision “magic” at work.

As you watch, pay attention to each of the five dynamics. But more important, absorb and lose yourself in the action on the screen.

After you've watched the SyberVision video, your muscles will have a memory of perfect motion from which to draw upon.

And, then, on the golf course before you begin to physically swing-- as part of your pre-swing routine, take a moment to mentally recall the video images and replay the movements in your mind.

Hear the music, remember the rhythm.

Then, start your swing. Your body will strive to reproduce the image of swing perfection as closely as it can..

And the more you watch your SyberVision muscle memory programming video the more effective it will become.

Now, sit back, relax and enjoy one of the most pleasurable learning experiences you'll ever have.

INTRODUCTION TO THE PERFECT ROUND OF GOLF
Welcome to the final portion of your SyberVision Impact Zone golf training experience. In this segment, you'll join Bobby Clampett as he plays a perfect nine holes of golf. As you watch, imagine that it's you performing the motion and its you experiencing the joy of golf at its highest, purest level.

As as you do this, all of the knowledge, skills and know-how you've learned in this program will come to a warm, emotional fruition. This last video is the culmination, the pay off, to your SyberVision learning experience. Watch this segment often, perhaps the night before you you play your next round of golf, watch a few minutes before you actually play. This video will inspire and motivate you by providing you with a blue print of golf perfection – a blueprint that will eventually and ultimately inspire your game to higher levels of performance.

Now, sit back, turn the lights down low and watch as you and Bobby play a perfect round of golf at the beautiful Quail Lodge golf course in Carmel, California

Impact Zone/Sybervision Golf Mastery DVD System Testimonials

Bobby,

Thank you!  I have been working hard at my game implementing all 5 of the Impact Zone dynmamics.  The video is incredible!  I watch the video just about every night.  I ususally switch between the personal clinic section and the muscle memory section.  During practice I spend 80% of my time on the 50 to 60 yard pitch shots. This has reallly assisted me with working on the fundamentals to obtain the 4 inch bottom.   Also, it is much easier now to transfer the Impact Zone dynamics to the full swing.  The awesome thing is I don't have to go out and bang a bunch of balls on the range which puts a lot less stress and strain on my body.  When I practice my lag technique, I find it best to swing for 5 minutes or so in the weeds without a ball.  My body automatically gets to feel the resistance and the maximum speed of the shaft and clubhead in front of the ball versus dumping the lag out behind the ball.  The other dramatic change is my lower body is really starting to work properly on the downswing as I now understand how to use the "Work Horse" properly.

By working on all of the above implementing the Impact Zone techniques I have lowered my Handicap Index from a 7 to a 4.  Over the past two weeks most of my rounds have been 73 to 74 and my Handicap Index is trending to a 3.

Bobby, I want to thank you for putting out the best golf instruction video ever!!!  Honestly, I would not change a thing! The way you made it and your easy to follow explanation of the dynamics to create a 4 inch bottom is awesome!!  I especiallly like the one on one personal clinic!  The muscle memory section is fun to watch and gives a good imagery to follow when playing so I can avoid thinking about mechanics!

TESTIMONIALS-Impact Zone/Sybervision Video

Hi Mr. Clampett!

Just a little FYI regarding the SyberVision Impact Zone video.  Have been watching the video training DVD's the last several days.  Decided to hit a few balls this afternoon.  While practicing pitch and chip shots I had the sensation that I was you swinging the club.

I have never wanted to be anybody else; it was such a strange sensation that I am unable to describe the feeling.  However, the experience did feel good and was laced with a high degree of confidence.  I felt like a youngster filled with excitement and anticipation.  Moreover, the shot quality was good.

Also, historically I have never been able to load the club on the backswing and lag the club on the downswing with soft flexible wrists.  Was able to keep my wrists supple and flexible during all chips, pitches, and short/medium iron shots.  It was an unusual feeling but felt right!  One could actually better feel the ball coming off of the clubface.

The SyberVision Impact Zone training DVD's are totally awesome!!!

Thanks!!!!!

Better Than Golf Club! I Moved My Swing Bottom 3" Lost 12 Strokes   By Mike Schuster on 4/13/2010

3 out of 4 people found this review helpful.

i had two choices-- spend $1,00 on new clubs or $250 on this golf training system--when i could buy other "DVDs" for about $30. I got caught on the guarantee. It promised a minimum of 50% reduction in my 24 handicap. This guarantee was backed up by a man I respect Bobby Clampett and a company that in the 1980's set a new standard for golf instruction with it's Stanford U-based muscle memory programming. Someone one told me, 'Hey, Stupid, its not the clubs but your swing. Don't wast money on clubs until you learn how to swing." He was right. In fact, some research I recently read said with all of the new club technology over the past 40 years, golfers; scores not only did not improve but they have worsened. So i took SyberVision and Clampett up on their 50% reduction in handicap guarantee and spent the "risk free" $250. Here's what I learned and How I did. I always though that your divot was made behind the ball. Clampett proved through studying CBS Sports' super slow motion SwingVision camera that though all the great golfers have different swing styles, they all impact the ball in the same place--their divots bottom out four inches in FRONT of the ball. This is the one the constant they all have in common. Clampett then studied the swings of average golfers and learned the deepest part of their divots were four inches BEHIND the ball--- an 8 inches difference between great and average. Clampett then worked with average golfers and learned that if he could get them to move their swing bottoms up toward the pros' impact area, that for every 1 inch they moved forward, they were able to shave 4 strokes off their handicaps!! So the 100-shooter, to score consistently in the low 80;s, according to Clampett, all he had to do was move his swing divot up 5 measly inches. Clampett alleges he trained hundreds of golfers with this method and was able to, on average, reduce their handicaps by 75% in only an hour's worth of personal instruction. Word caught on, Clampett became swamped with so many students that he decided to write a book, "The Impact Zone" to explain his theory. In the book Clampett identifies five swing dynamics (not Hogan's fundamentals) which if consistently applied quickly allows golfers to hit consistently in the pros' impact zones and thus score like the pros. With this system Clampett was missing a key teaching element, How could his students not only learn the dynamics but make then a part of their permanent, positively-repeating, golf muscle memory. Clampett turned to SyberVision creator and founder Steve DeVore for the answer. DeVore spend 8 years at Stanford U. learning how the brain converts images of movement into muscle memory. DeVore learned the brain follows the construct of a mathematical analysis called the Fourier Transform to perform this transformation. DeVore then filmed athletes at Stanford performing their skill perfectly, edited out the bad and processed the positive through his mathematical gateway. When the students saw film of themselves performing their core skills perfectly, most reported a sensation of movement from within as they watched the repetitive positive skills. DeVore and later "mirror neuron" research concluded their bodies were responding to each repetitive skill motion as if it they were physically performing the motion--over and over again- grooving pathways of skill perfection deep into their bodies and minds. As a result of the training, the Stanford Tennis team won three national championships, golfer reported a 300% improvement over all other methods of training. SyberVision was born. DeVore took this knowledge and developed a SyberVision golf positive modeling video featuring Al Geiberger. The video took off through vigorous work-of-mouth endorsements and quickly became the best selling golf dvd of all time -- nearly 2 million worldwide sales at $150 each (about $380 in today's inflated money) So, Clampett teamed up with DeVore. DeVore was excited because of the new digital high speed, high-definition, wide screen technology available -- all married to Clampett's Impact Zone discovery. Let me cut to the quick. In only two weeks, I got my handicap down to 12-- only a 50% improvement. For 24 four years I have been stuck at a 24. Now, I'm out of the old rut stuck in a new one at 12. I consider this a huge miracle. All I had to do was move my swing bottom up 3 inches. Nothing more, nothing less -- and do it consistently. Bobby's instruction helped me understand the impact zone concept and the five dynamics. SyberVision allowed me to ingrain it into my mind and body until now it is an unconscious repeatable habit. $250 for a DVD. No, it was just not a DVD but a complete revolutionary training technology delivered on a DVD. Now, I'm looking forward to those new clubs so i can show off my new scores with flash and style. I'm a little disappointed in the program because it promised a 50+ reduction in handicap. I only had a 50% improvement. Maybe I'll give it a little more time to work its magic before I return it as an unsatisfied customer. I do have 3 more inches to move forward-- a potential of another 12 strokes off my handicap if i work on it! Imagine, being a scratch golfer. Would i get so **** and predictable that golf would get boring? I hope not! If you're thinking about spending $250 on this program or $500 on a new driver. It's a no brainer. Can a driver reduce your handicap by 50%, guarantee it, and then are you able to return it at any time for a full refund if it doesn't work? Go ahead and try it. I don't think they'll take it back. So, what;s the better and less risky investment. With Bobby Clampett's method you have everything to gain and nothing to lose.
